Generation Green is today just a seedling having been established in April 2024. However, it is the result of a long collaboration between like-minded people who wish to build on their collective expertise in a structured manner. We are all sustainability enthusiasts with extensive expertise in designing and implementing didactic material focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement (both youth and adult education). We strive to pool our forces together and deliver the tools needed to support the transitions needed in various sectors to deliver a more sustainable future.
Recently the team delivered the Let’s Act! project for students aged 12-16 which explores, through five online modules, various dimensions related to Protecting the Planet. It as available as an open-access course on the Let’s Act Platform and currently in testing phase on the ATINGI Platform (funded by GIZ) for secondary and vocational training in Rwanda specifically and Africa in general. The team has collaborated with the World's Largest Lesson project (produced by Project Everyone) developing a Lesson Plans series on SDG7 and related topics. Currently, we are implementing the Young Smart Cities and the Yconic projects (both Erasmus+) and are contributing as project managers on various training projects and knowledge hubs i.e. World Access to Modern Energy (WAME) and the FSR-Global Regulatory Knowledge Hub
